Resveratrol Increases Bone Mineral Density and Bone Alkaline Phosphatase

Researchers gave study participants either a high dose or a low dose of resveratrol or a placebo every day for 16 weeks. By the end of the study, those who took the high dose of resveratrol had a 2.6% increase in lumbar spine bone mineral density and an average of 16% increase in bone alkaline phosphatase compared to the placebo group.
